The Benefits of Coolsculpting

Drs. Robert Young and Jared Heaton of Rocky Mountain Dermatology can help you lose stubborn fat. At North Logan, UT, our dermatologists provide patients with CoolSculpting.

What is Coolsculpting?

This FDA-approved procedure uses cryolipolysis to freeze and destroy fat cells safely while preserving other surrounding tissue. This method is non-invasive and helps to treat stubborn areas of fat such as the abdomen, thigh, flank, bra-line, back and upper arms.

Your North Logan dermatologist places a roll of fat into two panels that freeze stubborn fat you can't get rid of despite having dieted and exercised. CoolSculpting kills those fat cells and your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates the dead cells.

Is Coolsculpting painful?

During the procedure, it is normal to feel some tingling, cramping, tugging or mild pinching. Afterward, you may also experience some mild skin sensitivity, redness, swelling or tenderness that will go away within a couple of days.

When will I see results?

You will begin to see a reduction in fat after about three weeks but it’s normal for patients to not see the full results until 4-6 months after their first session. After which, our skin doctors can determine whether you may require another treatment session to achieve the desired results.

Who is a good candidate for Coolsculpting?

Coolsculpting may be right for you if you are pretty satisfied overall with your body but are dealing with areas that have moderate-sized fat that aren’t responding to diet and exercise alone. Both healthy men and women of all ages have turned to Coolsculpting to provide them with great results without having to undergo cosmetic surgery.
